About Katara + Haru
While journeying to the North Pole, Katara, Sokka, and Aang stop at an Earthbending village controlled by firebenders. There they meet a young man named Haru, who is skilled with his gift to Earthbend. Katara talks to him and they discover that the Fire Nation has outlawed Earthbending and anyone caught doing this will be arrested, like Haru's father was. Katara and Haru walk along, discussing how the Fire Nation has taken over. Katara shows Haru the necklace her mother gave her, and tells him that the Fire Nation killed her. Katara and Haru feel a certain bond in this, having both lost their parents to the Fire Nation. They stumble upon an elderly man who is caught in a mine cave-in. Katara urges Haru to Earthbend to get the man free. Haru hesitates, then complies. That night, at midnight, the Fire Nation arrests Haru. Katara discovers this the next morning, and comes up with a way to be "arrested for Earthbending". On the Fire Nation's ship, Katara runs up to Haru and throws her arms around him. Haru introduces him to her father, and Katara tries to come up with an escape plan. With the help of Aang, Sokka, and all of the Earthbenders on the ship, they are freed from the Fire Nation's prison. Haru asks Katara to come home with them, but Katara sadly declines, telling Haru that they have to get Aang to the North Pole.

About Avatar: The Last Airbender
Avatar takes place in an alternate world where long ago there were four nations that coexisted harmoniously: water, earth, fire, and air. Then, the fire nation attacked and tried to take over the world. The other three nations turned to the Avatar, the master of all four elements to bring peace back to the land. But, sadly, the Avatar vanished and the air nation thus was wiped out by the fire nation. One hundred years past and Katara, a waterbender from the water tribe, and her brother, Sokka, discovered the new Avatar trapped in an iceberg, an airbender named Aang.

About the Site
From the moment I saw the episode, "Imprisoned," I loved Katara and Haru. They really have a strong bond! I knew others loved them, too, so I made this Fanlisting. This current layout was made using screencaps from the episode "Imprisoned," ArcSoft Studio 5, and Pixie.
